About Pagan Rain
At this time when the Earth is broken and the culture gone astray, we call the people together for a Tribal Prayer Making, in honour of the Source of All Life: the Rains, the Seas, the Oceans, every Spring, Brook, Stream, River, Lake, Pond, Estuary, morning Mist and Dew.
Bring a small pot of water from your spring, well, or source — we will bring them together in a sacred manner.
This gathering calls those who wish to honour, praise, celebrate, and delight in the wild, life-giving waters of the world.
“I was born from the dew of my mother’s body.”

Evenings long and slow fall into the arms of night and dreamtime, under the smoky rafters of the roundhouse.
Join us for this deep collaborative work — beyond debate or disagreement, beyond right or wrong — in a green field between two mountains, at the home by the hearth, beside the waters.
Where something holy might be spoken.
Where something worth doing might happen.
the gathering

Four days of Tribal Being, Sacred Music, and Wild Immersion — celebrating Ancient Roots and New Ways.

Honour the Source of All Life among these hundred waterfalls.
Witness the returning forest and praise the day in the language of ritual.

Music every night — devotional, dreaming, delicious repose under the smoky roundhouse rafters.
Workshops and talks to remember the Old Ways and forge new.
Rituals to create a tribe who weep, feel, sing, and rock with the wisdom of the ages.
A hundred ways to kneel and kiss the earth.
For Lovers
A soul-mate convention.
Time to fall in love.
Bring your sweetheart — or find one — and be hand-fasted for a year and a day in our reinvented Pagan Water Ritual.
Pouring the water, we bless the union of lovers, the feminine waters, and the light that plays on her from heaven.
Flowers in water — each day a new praise prayer for the female waters and the light that dances on her skin.

Ritual & Practice
✨ The Ritual of the Chalice — blessed water offered for healing.
✨ A Tribal Water Ritual on Sunday afternoon.
✨ The Dance of Water created by the women of the valley,
and The Dance of Fire by the men.
✨ Sweat-lodges and saunas.
✨ Daily meditation, yoga, tai chi, and healing modalities.
An independent community gathering of free people — no traders, no commerce, no high-street imitation.

Speakers & Storytellers
We have invited storytellers, scientists, environmentalists, well-keepers, diviners, dancers, water maidens, and shamans — and you — to join us.
Each evening: devotional, healing, praising music by the roundhouse fire.
Stories from the original world, when we spoke with the elements, plants, animals, and waters.

Living the Festival
We invite you to live with us in our Village under the Waterfall for five days and four nights.
Spirit Horse Mountain Retreat is set amidst 200 acres of the wildest Wales — a rewilding sanctuary protected under our charity Forest of Dreams, ensuring this valley remains forever wild, returning slowly to its pristine natural state.

Food
Our happy kitchen will be serving delicious, wholesome meals throughout the weekend — vegan and gluten-free friendly.
All meals and teas are included in your ticket price.
Generous portions, hot drinks always on, and fireside comfort.

You’re welcome to bring your favourite snacks, but there are no extra charges for food, parking, or camping.

Practicalities
Arrival Time: Thursday 2pm - 6 pm AND Friday 2pm - 6pm. Opening circle will be at 11 am Friday morning.

Please make sure to arrive on site at the arrival time. We will ferry you and all your gear in our four wheel drive vehicles down the steep mountain road to the village (if you don't fancy the spectacular mountain footpath). This takes only a few minutes to drive but you will have to load everything into our vehicles with our help. Welcome to the Bhutan of Wales. You can have the full Himalayan adventure without ever leaving Britain.

Please bring all your necessary bedding for you to be warm and comfortable. It can get very cold here at night, even in the summer. Alternatively, we do now offer and optional extra when booking your ticket. For an additional £45, we will provide a duvet, sheets and pillows for your stay.
Spirit Horse Mountain Retreat is set amidst 200 acres of wildest Wales. Our charity; Forest of dreams, was set up in 2002, purchasing the land in 2012, so that this valley could remain protected for ever, slowly returning to its original pristine natural state.

May we.
